Description: From Zajecar of Yugoslavia comes this gorgeous, 24% lead crystal, footed serving bowl / compote produced somewhere in the 70s. This is a very sparkly piece featuring stylized sunflowers with an extra layer of etching added around the petals to bring out the design. The saw tooth rim showcases the artistic nature of the bowl. Its very heavy, well made, and quality crystal, which literally glows in the sunlight. I can see this piece gracing weddings, showers, or other fancy affairs. The tall, elegant shape is such that you can even flip the bowl upside down to hold a smaller offering in the bowl shaped base. Zajecar is a quality brand from the region of the worlds most well-known producers of fine lead crystal and glass. Zajecar was in production from 1965 through 2006 until crystal declined in popularity. But now these beauties are definitely making a comeback. CONDITION: Its in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, clouding, or rough spots. Its ready to sparkle and shine anywhere you decide to place it.
