These Yamaha necks are designed to fit the current Yamaha advanced Saxophones, if you have a vintage Yamaha alto, you can either decide on the "fit everything" octave key, or purchasing the Yamaha made adapter ($39, which is only for the YAS-62). * Please be aware, placing the Yamaha made "fit everything" octave key on the Yamaha retro body is a configuration of our design, and that it is not a configuration that Yamaha offers, but all components/parts are genuine Yamaha products. *****In a recurring phenomena, another sax professional purchased a tenor version of this neck, and 5 days after receiving, bought out our entire tenor stock...then later added a few alto neck.
