Description: An original 26 June 1945 copy of "Air Battle Notes from Fleet Air Wing ONE: Mariners Give the Mikado the Hotfoot," a report marked Confidential with limited distribution (this is Serial number 003). A well-written, detailed and interesting report, it covers several successful raids on ships and other targets off the Japanese mainland by "lumbering" Mariner seaplanes. It comes straight from the estate of a Navy pilot who was flying these planes off the coast of Japan and serving as an Air Combat Intelligence officer when WWII ended. The report is 5 single-sided 8 1/2" x 11" pages. Good condition as shown. Tanned from age but the pages are not brittle. A one-of-a-kind addition to any collection or library. I always combine shipping and ship every day the post office is open with your items safely packed for protection. Please see my store for more museum quality items from WWII, the Cold War, and more.
