The gorgeous “Bird of Paradise pattern by Winfield Pottery has a glossy creamy-white background and a hand-painted exotic flower under a glaze that’s shiny and bright. The condition is very good with no chips, cracks, or crazing. The utensil marks are light. One cups has discoloration, see last photo. This double-strength oven-proof Winfield China was hand-crafted to be chip resistant. This listing includes: 1 Vegetable Oval Serving Bowl, measures 13” 1 Dinner Plate measuring 10 1/4" 1 Fruit/Dessert (Sauce) Bowl measuring 4 7/8" 4 Flat Cups measuring 2 1/4" 4 Saucers measuring 5 7/8" Serving Bowl is divided into two unusual triangle-shaped sections. It measures 13” long and 7 ¾” at the widest points of each section. The sides are 2 1/4” tall. It weighs 2 lbs. 6 oz. The backstamp in blue reads “True Porcelain, Winfield Hand Crafted China, Made in USA”. The Bird of Paradise pattern of the Winfield True Vitrified Porcelain dinnerware line was manufactured by American Ceramic Products of Santa Monica, California from the 1950s to early 1960s. The dinnerware production plant was closed in 1967. The pottery company advertised its china as "truly vitrified china" superior in strength and durability to earthenware pottery.
