Description: Vintage 1940s Exotic Tropical Drapes Pair Fresh from a Dallas estate comes this vintage set of 2 curtain panels from the 1940s. The design is a thick weight fabric with red, yellow, blue, brown and green exotic tropical floral and leaves print against a beige background. The panels are lined with a solid ivory fabric. The top of each has 9 pinch pleats and 11 metal hooks on back. Each panel has a center seam from top to bottom. The bottom hems have 3 weights each. The measurements are 81 3/4" long by 49.25" across top. The bottom of panels measure 91" across. From the rod pocket to the top is 5" long (with 2" above pocket) and 39.5" across rod pocket where there is folding. There is about 3.5" of bottom hem that could be let out if desired to make them longer. Each piece is in excellent condition, crisp and no odor. Both panels have discoloration on the lining, and the facing fabric has fading and stains-shown best in photos # 13-21. There is a small pin hole one the lining near bottom of one panel. One panel has a small 1" tear on the facing fabric that could be repaired-shown in photos #4-7. These are gorgeous as is, but could be split up to make 4 panels, or the fabric used to create pillow or cushion covers. Thanks for looking!
