Special Projects Patrol Squadron One (VPU-1) is a former U.S. Navy land-based patrol squadron formerly based at NASBrunswick, ME flying the P-3C Orion. The Squadron relocated to NAS Jacksonville, Florida in 2009 and was decommissionedthere in 2012. VPU-1 was tasked to undertake research and development. The testing of sensors ear marked for the fleet andsometimes augmented forward deployed Patrol Squadrons. VPU-1 Pin is 1.41" x 1.5" - pin is made from a solid, transparent, acrylic material that is printed in full color. It features a soft PVC clutch, allowing you to fasten your pin to your clothes, backpack, or accessories. Hasprotective film on cover to prevent scratching from shipping and can be removed.
