Vernon Kilns closed its doors in 1958 to give you an idea of the age. Although they produced their own dinnerware, they also created commemorative/collector plates made to order for special occasions or museum shops, etc. Forest Lawn Memorial Park, of course, is a cemetery but the gorgeous church shown on the plate is also popular for weddings (Ronald Reagan was married to Jane Wyman there).
