Description: Vintage Salem 8 Day Ships Bell Clock and Barometer I have a wonderful Salem 8 Day Ships Bell Clock and Barometer for sale! I wound the clock and it is keeping time and the bell is working but I don't know ship bell time so it may need to be adjusted. The barometer needle spins freely and is not connected to the hairspring. The only thing I did to this clock is supply the #4 key and use hot glue to secure the glass because they were loose and I didn't want them to get damaged. The base is wood with heavy brass feet. This was a presentation piece that was awarded in 1962 and has the recipients name and many signatures on the brass nameplate on the base. Enlarge the pictures and take a close look. This is a great clock!
