Description: Vintage Mid Century Modern Laundry Hamper Detecto New York, USA FAUX WOOD METAL HAMPER A circa 1950’s - 1960’s Mid Century Modern laundry hamper, frim “Detecto, New York”. The original Detecto sticker has come off. The padded hinged top is upholstered in a faux wood vinyl with gold welting, opening to a vented interior. The case is framed in a metal gold tone. The side large rectangle hinged handles can pivot. This is a great classic mid century modern statement piece. Condition Is “Used”, vintage. In good overall shape for its age. The top padded lid has a couple of circle ring stains, one of the hinges on the lid is held with a bobby pin, and The gold welted edging on the padded top corners is worn. All of the issues mentioned above can be seen in the very last photo. Some other normal slight scratches, scuffs, Marks, or imperfections all to be expected with the age of the item. Comes from a clean and smoke free home.
