Vintage MCM Imperlux Cased Opaline Crystal 24K Gold Overlays Cigar Smoking Set

Description: This is an exquisite and nearly impossible-to-find matching mid-century modern (MCM) cigar smoking set in outstanding condition. Both pieces are cased opaline crystal with embossed gold, gold overlay, and gold gild produced by Imperlux Crystal in Bohemia, Czechoslovakia. The frosted glass looks almost like snowflakes with gold flecks and magnificent gold medallions with a raised gold on gold design. Both pieces are rimmed with gold paint. The ashtray has three feet dipped in gold with two cut-outs and is deep for comfortably resting your cigars. The brass lighter was made in Japan. A single flint and wick are already included and installed. Lighter fluid is not included. Changing out the wick with a newer type of wicking material may make it easier to use. A standard flat head screwdriver is needed to change flints and wicking material. Screwdriver is not provided. About the manufacturer: Imperlux Crystal assured the world's finest quality mouth blown lead crystal from 1950 - 1975. All pieces were hand cut and imported either from German Democratic Republic (East Germany) or Bohemia, Czechoslovakia.
