Description: Vintage Maling Coronet Cream or Milk Jug, Lustre, no visible crazing, no chips, gold trim worn in places (rim, handle - see pics), pattern/marking number 226/1224, possible paintress marking "D.". Size approx 4"h x 5.75" spout to handle. As part of some research I found via the Maling Collectors Society Newsletter March 1999 - This jug was likely made before 1929 for the George Borgfeldt & Co -Canadian agents (for Maling) - the pattern/marking number was for GB&Co not a Maling number - but as all records have been lost, it is difficult to determine exact date of manufacture.
