Description: Just out of a local smoke free house is this nicely detailed vintage oil painting by the listed Wisconsin artist Leonard Rodowicz 1898-1981. The painting depicts a wooded landscape at sunset. The larger tree in the foreground has a heavily textured paint application while the rest of the painting has a more traditional texture. The painting has a Luminist feel with the setting sun lighting the sky behind the trees. The oil painting on board is signed in the lower left L. Rodowicz. With the frame it measures about 15 1/2 inches high and about 18 5/8 inches wide. The painting alone measures about 11 inches high and about 14 inches wide.
