Description: Vintage Hand-Stitched Linen MAP of the WORLD Embroidery Panel Antique hand-embroidered linen panel with loops for hanging that features a map of the world. It's dated January 1929 on the lower left. Please see all photos including close-ups that show details such as some of the indigenous animals. The background is a medium-weight tan natural color linen and it is backed with cotton fabric (polished cotton?) and has faded pale green satin fabric loops for hanging. It measures approximately 33-1/2" (not including the hanging loops) x 26." No holes, tears or loose stitching. It has some brown stains on the front as shown in the last two photos and some age discoloration here and there. The backing fabric has significant age discoloration but is intact. PLEASE SEE ALL PHOTOS. Please note that I have made every attempt to photograph the color accurately but your device may display it slightly differently. The background linen is slightly darker than shown in the photos. I have other vintage embroidered maps, including a map of the United States from the same stitcher in a similar style as this panel, and another with US state flowers, also listed now. From my personal collection of vintage and antique linens and textiles that I'm now downsizing. I'm happy to combine shipping.
