Description: This is a classic Cole Pottery, Sanford, NC, mug hand thrown by General Foister Cole. G.F. Cole was considered to be the best potter of all the 1st generation Cole Family children. It measures about 3.5" tall with a 3" diameter mouth. It is stamped with the Cole Pottery emblem and signed by G. F. Cole. It is in beautiful condition with its brown and green glazing and there are no chips, cracks or dings as shown in the photographs. The thick lip around the base is a distinctive G.F. Cole design. This would make a fine addition to your Cole pottery collection.
