Description: Vintage Degenhart Wise Ole Owl 3.5" Tall Crystal Clear Gloss See Through Mint First introduced as the "Wise Ole Owl," the Degenhart Glass Owl was made by Degenhart's Crystal Art Glass Company between 1967 and 1978. The color reference guide lists almost 360 different colors/finishes. This color is ironically what some would call the most simple and plain but also regarded as crystal clean and elegant. This one has no dyes and no tones added. It is as pure as glass can be. The Crystal Clear or Clear or Crystal Clean, etc. color is one that every collector feels they must possess in order to validate the rest of their collection. It's what Mrs. Degenhart called "The Base Beauty that has endless potential." She personally really loved the simplicity and elegance of CLEAR and she built on that by adding dozens of colors that had Clear as a base and a hint of something else.
