Description: VINTAGE CHRISTMAS MATTE GOLD MERCURY GLASS BEAD GARLAND 180”2 LENGTHS - ONE 9 FT. & ONE 6 FT. You are bidding on two strings of vintage Christmas matte gold mercury glass beads to make 180 inches. One garland string is just over 9 feet, and the other is just over 6 feet. These beads are about 1/2" in diameter and there are no broken beads. Apparently, someone had spray painted these red glass beads (very uniformly, I might add) to compliment a golden colored Christmas tree. I know that these are glass beads because I broke 2 off to see the inside and will send them along for you to examine. They were painted a very pretty matte gold. It's not something I would do, but the effect is very pretty and would stand out on a tree. Happy bidding!
