Vintage 60s MODELINE Sculptural Korina Wood Lamp Mid Century MCM Modern Lighting

Description: ITEM: For your consideration we are presenting for sale a vintage sculptural MODELINE table lamp. Circa '60s. The lamp is constructed of a korina wood. There are two shades - the outer, larger shade is woven, and the smaller, inner shade is not. The lamp has a wooden walnut accent piece that is attached to the pull chain at the socket. By pulling down on this accent piece, it allows the lamp to turn on/off. There is a Modeline sticker label attached to the light socket (see photos). It's a great lamp that's suitable for any modern interior setting! MEASUREMENTS: With the shade attached, the lamp stands approx. 42" tall. The outer woven shade measures approx. 17" tall x 14" in diameter. The smaller, inner cylindrical shade measures approx. 14.5" tall x 9.5" in diameter. The wood base measures approx. 19.5" tall x 8" wide x 8" deep. The distance from the resting surface to the light socket is approx. 29" high. The round base at the bottom of the lamp is approx. 7" in diameter. The wooden pull chain is approx. 3 tall x 2" wide. This is a very large lamp! CONDITION: The lamp is in very good condition and has been well cared for by its previous owners. There are no chips, cracks, breaks, repairs, scratches, etc. to the wood base or the wood accent piece that is attached to the pull chain. The outer woven shade is in great shape - no breaks, creases, repairs, etc. The trim that goes around the upper circumference of the shade shows some minor wear, but nothing that we'd deem objectionable (see photo). The inner shade is also in great shape - no rips, holes, tears, stains, burn marks from hot bulbs, etc. The electrical wiring looks to be original to the lamp, and appears to be in great shape - there are no frays, splits, exposed, hardened / brittle wires. The lamp is in fully-functioning, working order. As with all vintage lighting, we always strongly encourage having the items inspected by a licensed professional prior to long-term use. NOTE: This lamp is very large and fragile. It will ship in two separate parcels - one will contain the base, and the other will contain the outer woven shade.
