Description: Vintage 1949 Civitas Moeris 15 Jewels Military Style 34mm Gents Watch Cal 10C A stunning gents military style Civitas watch (Civitas is a trademark name used by Moeris, Moeris later owned by Tissot) in working order and keeping good time for its age. Civitas & Moeris were suppliers of watches for the German military. The face is just stunning with amazing 3 dimensional Arabic numerals and stunning fine blue steeled hands with large red sweeping seconds hand. The chrome case has lovely art deco stepped lugs with some plate wear in places. When adjusting the time occasionally the crown slips going clockwise but always seems to re-engage and time can always be set adjusting anti clockwise, it's really not that noticeable but I thought I should mention it. The rear caseback has a lovely inscription that accurately dates the watch production to 1949. It is fitted to its vintage Nato style strap that has minor wear in places It measures approx 34mm diameter excluding the crown by 41mm from lug to lug and fits a 17mm strap Please view photos carefully as they form part of the description Please view my other listings
