Description: Beautifully restored large solid oak "Globe-Wernicke" Company No. 7310-C Peerless Tray document/card storage box. The company was based in Cincinnati, Ohio. Dimensions are 10 1/8" long x 5 5/8" wide x 4 1/2" tall. Inside measures 5 1/8" wide x 9 1/4" deep x 3 3/4" tall. The box is constructed of 3/16" thick oak and uses fingerjoints for strength. Brass colored metal hinges, lid support and card holder are in good working order. Box was restored with several coats of MinWax Satin Varnish and polished with 0000 steel wool and paste-wax to a soft luster. Excellent condition. All joints are solid.
