MADE IN VICTORIAN STYLE, THE FABRIC DATES TO THE LATE TEENS TO EARLY 1920’S THE BLOUSE HAS RED SOLID COTTON RUFFLES AROUND THE NECKLINE AND IS OPEN IN A V FRONT. THE SLEEVES HAVE A PUFF FULLNESS AT THE TOP ARM WITH A RED BAND BOTTOM AND RUFFLES ALONG THE BOTTOM CUFF EDGE. THE SKIRT IS MORE FITTED THAN A VICTORIAN SKIRT WITH THREE ROWS OF RUFFLES IN RED TRIMMING. THE BONNET IS IN SOLID RED THROUGH THE BRIM WITH MODESTY RUFFLE IN THE REAR AND LONG TIES ON EACH SIDE. CONDITION: THE SKIRT IS MISSING THE REAR CLOSURE WITH A SMALL HOLE AT THE EDGE WAISTBAND AND AT THE V OF THE CLOSURE POINT. FIVE INCHES OF FRAY IS SEEN ON THE BOTTOM RED RUFFLE IN THE FRONT MIDDLE WITH SOME SMALL PIN PRICKS OF WEAR ALONG THAT POINT. THE BONNET HAS TWO PINHEAD HOLES ON THE RED BRIM WITH AN ERASER SIZED HOLE ON THE REAR TOP BRIM. GREAT FOR THE FABRIC ALONE. COLORS ARE TRUE AND UNFADED. A BEAUTIFUL AND WEARABLE VICTORIAN COSTUME.
