Description: I have for sale a vintage Victor Animatophone model 55 16mm projector. Its a 1930s or 1940s tube-based film projector that uses an external speaker. Supports both silent and sound playback. All parts are there, except for a power cord which is fine since all you need to do is plug an extension cord into it. Both arms that hold the 16mm reels are present and attach without issue. The speaker is held in its own case (nestled on top of the projector when it's all packed up) and comes with the original cord attached. Two copies of the manual are included as well. For some reason, the switches for the motor and light are backwards. They're on when in the Off position and vice versa. The motor does start turning over when you plug it in, though the reels never spin. Probably needs a thorough cleaning and lubrication. All three of the spring loaded belts are intact and in nice working order. Bulb works. Speaker makes no sound when plugged in It's rather heavy and large so I'm including free shipping in the US, eBay international shipping for overseas buyers. Local pick up available near Madison, WI.
