Description: Very nice vintage1970s AKAI CR-81D 8-Track stereo player and recorder. Made in Japan In good condition with minor signs of usage. Fully cleaned In good working conditions with minor issues Recording red light is not working. (Probably needs replacing the bulb) Some small chips on wood casing and corners. Minor scratches on aluminum casing. (see photos) I have tested and played a few of my own 8 tracks on it and they played ok.I can't confirm it plays 100% accurate as it is over 45 years old and it might need some minor tune up/adjustment to play 100%.That being said, I was pretty satisfied with playing quality.The headphone output was tested and working.Both Vu meters are working.All knobs and functions are working. This is a very nice 8 track player with very good reviews. It comes with 33 cassette tapes and storing case. Some cassettes are in good condition and play ok. But most are in fair condition with the sponge either gone or damaged. Some of the tapes that plays ok: Steppenwolf Grease The Guess Who and a few more..The storing case is in good condition with some light signs of usage.
