Description: Here is a fantastic vintage small lidded handmade basket. The body of it is brown with two different color diamond shape designs around the sides. The lid stays on nice and tight, it isn't flimsy and doesn't fall off. I really don't know anything bout this basket or the history. I don't know how to describe it other than I see these advertised as Papago Indian Basket, African Basket, Native American, Alaskan Native Grass, coil baskets, Zulu woven herb container and more. I'm not exactly sure the material it's made from either. I figured there would be someone out there who would know much more about these than I do. Either way they it is in excellent condition, no damage and quite unique. It must have been quite a project to make this so perfect in the intricate weaving of the materials. Whoever wins this will be very happy with it. Please let the photos be the best description. I have another basket on very similar to this but in a different color.
