They have a small box of ridges on each square that would hold a drop of water (photo 2, left) They have also put out an XL edition which is them same size as the older early 2000 editions. XL is type 1. Type 2 fits a Gray/Silver board, but are smooth on top of each square. They would not hold a drop of water as the top of the square is smooth, not ridged. (photo 2, right)Type 3 is blokus to go - you may purchase them here or at the blokus to go link below Type 4 is BLOKUS TRIGON - these are triangular , link below for those , photo 5Type 5 is for the WHITE board. They also have ridges and would hot the drop of water, but only fit the WHITE board, not the gray/silver board.
