Description: Here is the very 1st Pressing THE EAGLES Hotel California LP with poster Asylum 7E-1084 This is an excellent album that came out in a great era, and would go on to become one of the best selling lp's of all time. Yet, it is very difficult to find an early pressing like this one still in shrink. The initial pressings (7E) started in December 1976 and lasted into the first half of 1977. Then around June/July 1977 a huge 2nd pressing was done as this album was fast becoming hugely popular. That more common pressing was issued with catalog #6E. But this specimen is even more special.. it is the very earliest pressing possible!! The very very first copies came with only a simple small 'Eagles' sticker. That's because the hits had not been establised yet. Within a few months of air play they knew the hits and devised a larger hype sticker that included the popular hits. So when you see a copy in shrink (or sealed) with this little sticker, you know it's the earliest pressing possible. The cover is in awesome condition only shows very light wear. Solid corners and edges. The shrink has light rub wear, a 3" rip on bottom at mouth and a tiny 1/2" piece missing at lower spine. Vinyl looks great with lots of shine and minimal if any marks. Plays great too with just a bit of crackle, mostly side 1. Poster looks like new and original sleeve is also in excellent condition. This is a super hard to find specimen!! VINYL: VG+/EX, Looks great, plays great although I did hear some crackle, mostly side 1.COVER: EX+, very slight wear, bottom 2 corner edges. SPLITS: NO, solid edges and spine I pack very well using double box or other very reinforced packing (take vinyl out of opened albums), describe items accurately and usually ship within 5 business days.
