Description: For sale is a 45 RPM vinyl single by The Bells titled "Stay Awhile b/w Sing A Song Of Freedom", originally released in 1971 by Polydor Records. I bought this used, professionally cleaned it on my VPI HW-17 machine and immediately put it into an archival inner sleeve, then into a storage box for 45 RPM singles, that was kept under optimum conditions for both temperature and humidity until today. The generic inner sleeve is graded as Near Mint. In the dead wax, between the labels and end of the tracks, is machine stamped a backward facing "S" inside a circle, followed by the matrix numbers 1-A/1-A, indicating that the first stampers were ised to make this record at Shelley Products' pressing plant, located in Huntington Station, New York. These are hallmarks of state-of-the-art engineering, sought after by collectors and music lovers for their superior sound qualities. The vinyl is visually graded between Near Mint (Side One) and Very Good Plus (Side Two. Side Two has a scuff across most of its surface, while Side One is shiny and bright, in a like-new condition, without any sleeve marks, surface scratches or scuffs. I'm play grading Side One as Excellent because of some low levels of surface noise, none of which over-powers the vocals or the music. I'm play grading Side Two between Very Good and Very Good Plus because of surface noise and some sibilance. Both sides play all the way through without any pops, skips or lock-ups from start to finish. You would be hard pressed to find a copy of this record in this condition, especially a Shelley pressing. This would be a welcome addition to anyone's collection. Please read all descriptions and look at all pictures, as this is a final sale and I do not accept returns. Thank you for viewing my listing. I've been collecting records for more that 50 years and always clean them before and after playback to keep them in a pristine condition. I try to describe them to the best of my ability and use record grading guidelines like the Goldmine rating system as reference. Since retiring, I've begun to sell my very esoteric collection via my Ebay store (bobsanalogemporium) and will offer discounts for multiple sales. I always pack the items for sale in an archival inner sleeve, then put them in either a Kraft paper bubble mailer with sturdy cardboards or cardboard record mailers, always with the records separate from the jackets or its original picture sleeve, then sandwiched between sturdy cardboards before shipping. Please read all descriptions carefully and note all pictures before-hand, as I do not accept returns. Please visit my Ebay store for records, 45's, cassette tapes and comics of all different genres. They're predominately Near Mint. Thank you viewing my listing.
