It is a unique work of art, hand crafted from wood and hand painted by the well-known Steinbach company. It features Virgin Mary with Baby Jesus surrounded by musical angels. When the music is playing, the upper platform rotates.The musical movement is a swiss THORENS movement and it plays: "Silent night". To wind it up, just turn the key clockwise. There is a stopper on the side, too, that works most of the time.The music box is in great condition and almost complete, apart from a missing star on top of the arch. The paint is bright and shiny. There are only few paint chips on the base and platform. Please look at all pictures and zoom in. This music box is rare, not new and perfect, but charming.Please also listen to the video. There is a scratching noise to the music. I am very positive though, that it will disappear after a while running this.It measures about 8" tall and 5 1/2" wide. Dates back to the late 1940s.
