Star Wars Book Collection (Young Adult/Jr. Novels) Choose your Lot

Description: Hey there! Please read the descriptions below. If you're curious about the condition or specifics of a particular title or why it's rated the way it is, please message me! I have a handful of Star Wars junior/young adult novels to sell (and I've read every pre-Disney Star Wars book, so if you don't know where to start, message me for recommendations!). PRICING: I think everybody should have the chance to read the Star Wars expanded universe, and they're getting harder to find at your local library sale. I've bought book lots and collections to build and maintain my own private collection over multiple years and I end up with, in some cases, many copies of the more commonly available books. Prices will depend on the market, based on availability, age, and condition. However, I try not to charge more than several dollars a book, especially if you're buying more than one. That said, I hate nothing more than a poorly packaged book that gets more damaged in transit, especially when it starts out nice, so I try to overpackage my books to make them bulletproof, each wrapped individually inside. No loose books in falling-apart reused moving boxes held together with duct tape from me (you know who you are, ebay-seller-who-shall-not-be-named). If you wish I'll send pictures of the condition of your books before shipping or ordering, so you know what you're getting. That leads me to... CONDITION: Everybody has different definitions and pet peeves, but I tried to make consistent ratings as follows. I'm a bit OCD about my books myself, and if in doubt I err on the side of lower ratings, so that my books meet or exceed your expectations. You'll find that plenty of "acceptable" novels are still very good copies for average use with one small thing that pushed them over the edge, and even my "poor" books might not be that bad or just have one or two defects that would bother me but are still perfectly enjoyable. I don't sell trashed books unless they're explicitly labeled "trashed." If you're OCD like me or a collector with high standards, I understand! If you're curious about any other specifics that matter to you, such as: if it's marked as "legends" or not (most of my books are older and pre-legends designation, but some have the legends banner. It bothers me, but you might not care), if the "Star Wars" title is the shiny embossed foil edition (I have several with this option, I think the shiny is pretty), or a later print flat cover, the print/reprint edition, if it was stamped by your favorite public library, or any other picky thing you can think of, feel free to ask! I can't go through and list them all separately or list the edition/cover of each, If you don't specify, I will send the first copy in the correct condition that I find, but I'm happy to pick and choose your preferences. Condition only reflects the physical condition of the book, not the edition/desirability/value. Sometimes these books' age might bump it from "very good" down to "good" but it might still be a great looking book for its age, and it might be more desirable or valuable to you if it's an older edition or with/without these features, so if this is important to you please ask! Following is how I rate these books: Excellent: I rarely hand out this rating unless it's practically mint. No defects to my picky eyes, or extremely minor normal wear/reasonable yellowing if it's an old/rare title. This is for the picky collector finding that one book you're missing. These are not new books, so that's why I don't call this "new," and you can always pull out a magnifying glass, but it's as close as you'll get looking in the used books section on ebay. Very Good: Also not common unless the book is in basically unread condition with light shelf wear. May also apply to older/rarer books that have some wear but are in very good condition for their age/availability. They may have a minor blemish or two if you're looking for it, but overall look great on the shelf. Very minor cover edge wear allowed, and nothing else. You'll want to wash your hands before reading these and might feel bad turning the page. Good: This is my "baseline." I need a reason to rate it higher or lower. Expected wear, but no major defects. May have shelf wear on the edges/corners or slight spine wear, or minor, consistent age-yellowing of the pages, NO markings, significant creases, tears, or stains/weird looking page edges allowed. You should get this and think, "that actually does look pretty good," unless you're a collector looking to have that perfect shelf with the best copies, in which case these are still sometimes as good looking books as you can hope for in the case of those older titles. You probably won't feel bad reading these books, but you might still feel the need to be careful with them (or so my soul would like to think). Acceptable: This is where things sound iffy, but they're really not that bad. These books may have one crease or slightly bent cover/pages, small bent corners, sticker scars, or unidentified crusties, but are perfectly good readers. A lot of these just have one defect or no major defect but some wear. Perhaps somebody wrote their name inside the cover 20 years ago. This really means "acceptable," not "I couldn't rate it good but don't wanna say it's bad," it's like you found it at a library or on a bookshelf and thought, "that's not too bad," though you wouldn't add it to your prized collection. I want you to receive it and say, "meh, that's surprisingly acceptable." You can give it to your kid to read and not be concerned. If I looked at a book and thought, "it's good except for..." then it ended up here. Poor: Anything I don't like to look at, but still perfectly functional as a book. Might have small bits of cover missing, moderately creased cover/pages (none missing), or simply excessive wear. You'll look at it and wonder, "what happened to this thing?" but still be able to happily read it. Books with another story to tell! Trashed: Was it a dog or a child that last owned this book? One copy looks like somebody took some scissors to the corners of the last chapter, one looks like somebody tried to sand through the cover. Another is just fine except for the binding cracked in half. BOOK LISTING For easier buying, books are categorized by series in the listing.
