Description: In the coming months I am converting a tiny fraction of my several tons of exotic hardwoods back into cash- the good stuff that rarely makes it back to market. I had this stuff drying indoors in a heated space for a decade or more and some of it dates all the way back to 1992 when I began collecting the prettiest wood I could find from around the world. If you have a question, please ask it before purchasing- I know my wood and will answer within a few hours most of the time. All dimensions are +/- 1/16" but tend to be more accurate. If there are defects that I can see that I think would cause a problem I will note it in the description. Burls and live edge may have natural internal flaws. If you want the best, you'll likely find it here. If you don't like it when you get it, just return it for exchange, credit or refund, your choice. Padauk may be common but figure like this is rare so you won't likely find this anywhere else. With beautiful shades of orange and burnt orange and the super tight 3d fiddleback curl these are some very stunning scales just waiting for your artistic talent! This stuff was thoroughly dried in a vacuum oven before being stabilized to perfection. Great for gun grip blanks, awards, micro lumber, box wood, jewelry, etc. Photos are of the dry wood, the good side sanded to 180 grit and the backs to 100 grit. Just try to imagine how nice these will look with your favorite finish applied!
