Description: A gorgeous selection of the prickly pear cactus, only this variety is spineless! Break a pad off and it's ready to eat, no scraping of prickles to do! You will receive a freshly picked mature pad, at least 8" long, that is ready to plant in your own garden (after letting the pad sit in the shade for a couple days to callous over at the separation scar), or, to feed to your favorite reptile/ turtle. Plants grow easily, with minimal water in non-freezing climates. Flowers are yellow and orange-ish, developing into sweet yellow fruit. ( Fruit does develop small prickles, but not so many that I can't still squeeze one open , place on my lips and suck out the goodness!). If you order more than one I will combine shipping :) Up to 3 fit into a padded flat rate envelope. (Any more than that and I will send you an additional bill for shipping).
