Description: In very good condition. This is a Top-Quality CD of 707 train order images from the Southern Pacific Transportation Company, covering the entire state of New Mexico, plus El Paso and Planeport, Texas, acct everything north and west out of these two places went back into New Mexico. Included is 1 station list showing each location and the number of orders copied at that location. Also included is a small timetable compendium of employee timetables covering this territory, and much more. These timetables are: SP Tucson Division Employee timetable No. 5 dated 10-30-1966 8 pages; SP Tucson Div. ETT # 12 10-25-1981 23 pages; and A folder containing 6 miscellaneous timetable pages, from other various employee timetables and dates. These employee timetable pages cover all of this territory, so you can see where each location was, with respect to the others. This was all train order territory clear up to the time they got rid of train orders, around 1986. All images are of SP forms. As stated, the orders from El Paso and Planeport all govern traffic back into New Mexico, either north to Tucumcari or west to Lordsburg. Traffic from the West Coast going east on the Tucumcari Line, had to be cleared at El Paso, because of where it sits on the map. There are 23 different locations represented here, with at least one train order image from each one. Ages of the orders range from 1946 to 1984. I am very thankful to have obtained these orders before the SP and other roads did away with them entirely. Many of these stations and towers were closed in the 1950's and 1960's. Those that remained open, still copied a lot of train orders, as traffic was always fairly heavy in this whole area, with three main lines departing out of El Paso. In particular, this CD includes several locations on the Hachita Subdivision, which were very hard to come by, acct this line was closed in favor of the Lordsburg (Sunset) Line to Arizona and California. This helped to eliminate the need for the Rio Grande Division. The 12 pictures shown are just a sampling of the quantity and variety of locations, engine numbers (a few steam) and other operations unique to this large and very interesting piece of Railroad. This CD shows many track conditions, operating procedures, and many types of train orders, all consistent with train-order operation. This is some of the best Railroad reading anywhere. Very nice items that are obsolete and no longer used by any Railroad. S&H $4.00. Paypal is preferred method of payment. For anything else, please contact me before bidding.
