Description: Silver Gold Jesus Crucifix Crucifijo Icon from the Monastery of Meteora Greece Up for sale is a really nice hand made crucifix which I personally bought about 20 years ago during a trip to the Greek Orthodox monasteries of Meteora, Greece. It is made of pure silver and on the back there is a stamped Certificate of Authenticity required by the Greek authorities at the border (to allow tourists to take the icon out of the country) that reads "Holy icon, made of pure silver 950 with hagiografy made on canvas, copy of Byzantine art."
