Description: A gorgeous, pumpkin orange mini gown, by Indian actress, fashion designer, and Project Runway contestant, Saisha Shinde.This is an older dress, with the label made under what is now her dead name, "Swapnil Shinde", but still the same person. figured i should mention that so as to not cause confusion. it is an asymmetric cut gown, made of silk chiffon, silk dupioni, and metallic copper braiding.it is partially hand sewn, partially machine sewn.can be worn western style, as just a mini dress, or traditionally, with salwar as a fancy kameez. The upper portion of the dress is 2 layers of chiffon (together it is not sheer), with very detailed pintucking and micro-pleating.There is very elaborate copper braiding detail in straps around the empire bustline. it kind of reminds me of the chest guard that archers often wear.The underlayer ends with an asymmetrical length border ruffle of crinkly silk dupioni.in case you're not familiar with dupioni, it has an uneven weave with thick, chunky blobs and stripes in woven in.the back is a V-back cut, with a little strap to help hold the shoulders up. zipper closure at side. good condition, some wear to chiffon; occasional tiny snags or loose threads. MEASUREMENTS: slight stretch, except at underbust/upper waist.32 to 35" (81-90cm) bust (designed for no more than a C cup or so).25" (64cm) underbust/ upper waist.up to 40" (100cm) hips.35" (89cm) long.it looks like there is extra fabric at the shoulders, and can be let out to lengthen the shoulders about 1" (3cm) if needed.no size tag, but seems to fit like a US 2 or 4. please check these measurements against another dress you own that fits well, to better gauge how it will fit you.
