Description: Recording King Swamp Dog parlor-size resonator guitar with copper finish. These come stock with a fake green verdigris finish, which has been removed to reveal the copper plated body in all it's beautiful glory. I set this up with a raised nut and custom homemade biscuit bridge so I could play it fretless, but it wasn't the sound I was looking for. Because of that, the fretboard is virtually unused, as is the stock biscuit bridge. It has a mahogany neck with a rosewood fretboard. The body is copper-plated bell brass. It has a 9.5" handspun resonator cone. It really sounds great, but I already have an old Regal RC-2 with a National Cone, and that one just has deeper tone. The Swamp Dog is much lighter than a full size resonator, and plays crisp and clear. The copper finish will patina from use and time if it isn't sealed, somehow, but that's actually a feature and will make the guitar unique for whoever owns it. There are also ways to force a patina in various colors, so if you're looking for a raw, one-of-a-kind canvas, don't pass this up. https://www.recordingking.com/rm993vg The link above is to the Recording King website showing the guitar as it is sold by them, along with specs and measurements. The price is for the guitar only, no case included. It will be shipped fully insured.
