Description: This is for a complete and rare 1950's Lionel Railway Express Agency - 2530 Baggage Car with original box. I believe this original Lionel O gauge aluminum baggage car started production in 1954. What makes this rare is the Railway Express Agency sign and where it is located in the middle of the door line and not in the lower section of the ribs and it also has no Lionel Lines side plate. There were very few of these made this way and believed that Lionel changed the signage to highlight the "Lionel Lines" product fairly quickly after the start of production. Condition is very good with wear consistent with age, but no dents. Doors slide as they should. There is light surface rust on the trucks as shown which can be cleaned up if desired. The box is in rough condition, but has the cardboard insert which wraps around the train within the outer box. Please see pictures for more details.
