Description: A Very Rare find from estate of Baylor University Houston professor. Antique cast iron set of bookends made by HL Judd Co. Wallingford Ct . circa 1910-1920. A Remarkable Architectural Design with paneled roof/shade over shelf of books flanked by Pair of Owls standing sentry. Very heavy weight at 5 lbs each. Cold painted brown owls & shaded structure w/ mustard gold panels and books of dark brown, green and red has most of original paint. Very good pre-owned antique condition . There is some wear with nicks at base and on top as is expected with use throughout so many years. The Judd foundry mark 9742 is on the back . Original screws are intact and the felt covering on underside is worn. Measurements 6” tall x 7 1/2” wide x 2 “ deep. See photos for more details.
