Description: This is a really nice, hard-to-find antique sterling silver souvenir spoon from the picturesque Massachusetts island of Nantucket, considered to be the southernmost place in New England. It is upscale and lovely. It is about 5" long. The bowl is embossed with the landmark windmill, the "Old Mill Nantucket". The spoon itself is in the floral Majestic pattern, by the upscale maker, Alvin, a company later acquired by Gorham. Maker's marks: "Sterling" and "Patent" with the old fancy A hallmark for Alvin, a prominent American maker back around 1900 or so when this was made.
