Description: The novel that is the story of American tool manufacturing is replete with short stories involving Plomb and all it’s adaptations and permutations; Penens, Cragin, Proto and more. Plomb did not begin offering Stillson-Style Wrenches until the 1940 when the J.P. Danielson Company was acquired. This Stillson Wrench was produced by the acquired company under the Proto name. If we were skilled at reading Danielson date codes we could pin-down the Wrench’s manufacturing date, but we aren’t. The “A 5 4” code found on the Wrench’s movable jaw is for you to figure out (see mages). The Wrench is fully functional. It closes properly and is true form tip of handle to jaws. There is no significant deformation of the jaws’ teeth. The only flaw is the etched inscription, “BIO LAB” appearing on each side of the handle and seems to do little more than scratch the red paint (see images). We will ship the Wrench by UPS Ground Saver on the next regular business day following receipt of payment.
