Petting Zoo Mermaid Red Hair Satin Tail w/Turtle Shelf Sitter Embroidered Face

Description: This plush doll is by Petting Zoo and it is really so beautifully done. Truly as a girl who deals with a lot of plush and dolls, this brand wasn't on my radar, but it will be now - or at least I'll look for these mermaid dolls because she is spectacular. She has a lovely embroidered face and red yarn hair and you can name her Ariel if you want to, but she isn't - she just has red hair. And it is in excellent condition. She has a blue ribbon head ban. Her corset is blue velour and her body is peach colored velour. Her tail is a striped aqua blue with silver glittery stripes (the material has a glittery thread - no applied itchy real glitter). Along both sides is a pale blue ruffle (very fin like) and then a quilted tail fin at the bottom completes her look. Under her arm in an actual head lock - LOL - is her pet velour turtle who may be trouble by the grip she has on him. He has a brown and tan shell. In her bottom and tail are pellets. Her bottom is weighted to allow her to be a shelf sitter too. She is truly adorable and would make a great toy for a favorite mermaid loving child as she is soft and snuggly. Turtle does have button eyes so I do no recommend for children under 3 years old as a toy. She also would be an exception decor item for the mermaid loving beach dwelling folk out there. She is great. She is from 2017 and retired. They have been around a while and the design changes. This version has larger eyes that have whites and irises and the little white light spot and lashes. Newer versions have ovals - and faces are very limited in expression and they don't have ruffled edges. They also have bikini tops vs. corsets tops like this one does. Most of the ones available like this one are missing pets, have some hair issues and wear of course, but this one is truly in amazing shape. And after doing my research I see why she has that turtle in a head lock. They do escape.
