Description: Here is a rare excellent very early vintage original autographed 5" by 7" photo of actor and director Paul Henreid (1908-1992), from his prime in the 1940s. Paul Henreid was originally cast in supporting roles, often as Germanic villains. After 1940, when he moved to Hollywood and became a US citizen, Henreid began to get starring roles. These included Now Voyager (1942) and Of Human Bondage (1946), but his most famous role was that of resistance leader Viktor Lazslo, Humphrey Bogart's rival for the affections of Ingrid Bergman in Casablanca (1942). Henreid could also swashbuckle, as in Buccaneers (1950). From the 1950s onward, Henreid focused on directing films (Dead Ringer, 1964) and TV episodes (Alfred Hitchcock Presents).
