Description: Vintage Pair of Retro Style 1960's Handmade Beaded Tea Ball Hanging Chandelier Ornaments Here is a pretty pair of retro chandelier ornies! Both feature white pearls, silver metallic braid and some clear faceted beads on a real silver colored aluminum tea ball strainer. For color, one was strung with blue beads that have a turquoise cast to them, and the other salmony pink colored beads. The latter has some darker salmon colored ones on one side.....I think the original maker decided to make this ornament longer than the other and ran out of the one color, so she substituted the extra needed beads with ones that were off a shade. I just always turned it on the tree so this side was to the back. I like how she incorporated the original hook from the tea ball into the ornament for hanging them on the tree. The tea balls do unscrew and come apart as the maker beaded each piece separately. You could fill them with potpourri, herbs, or wax chips for scent if desired. Great condition for their age. I do not find any broken strings and they are clean without smoke odor. Hanging length including the hook is 10" on the blue one, 12" on the pink one. These blend beautifully with the retro beaded and jewel ornaments that homemakers used to make from kits for a very retro glam look. Shipping: Carefully packaged and sent USPS with tracking.
