The volumes are half-leather bound in faded green or gray leather, with marbled boards, and gold inlay on the spine. The corners are bumped and worn, with edgewear apparent on both volumes. The tops and bases of the spines are whole. There is an ownership bookplate on the first endpaper of each book reading "Sir Robert Joshua Paul". Though the pages are only mildly age toned, the B&W plates have significant spotting on the borders. Overall, the spines are firm, the pages tight, and the hinges strong, with the books in Very Good condition, especially for their age. Free U. S. Media S&H.
