Description: EXTREMELY RARE, ORIGINAL, AUTHENTIC patch from the US Navy's USS AMERICA (CV-66). This patch was created for their 1983 cruise/deployment that says "JOIN NOW" (first line), "INDIAN OCEAN" (second line), and "YACHT CLUB" (third line). It shows the date (1983) just above the profile of the carrier with it's moniker underneath.This patch has "a white, felt" backing, a "cut black" border, has a "dark blue twill" background, no velcro, and the dimensions are shown in the photos...the ruler on the right is 6". This is from a retired US NAVY CAPTAIN's collection I just acquired, and hope to find it a good home. This is an ORIGINAL ONE-OF only, so grab it while you can and is an AUTHENTIC patch obtained by the officer during one of his many tours/deployments.
