Description: Amazing find here, an original roll of 1920’s era Art Deco thin paper wallpaper from Belgium. Purchased in Belgium (check my other listings for more rolls), though the maker to this pattern is unidentified (though printed in the margin is “Fabrication Belge”). Dynamite geometric design of pebble shapes in gray, white, and contrasting browns, all against a paper roll the color of craft paper. Multicolored dots in the margin - interspersed by the number 1518 - run the distance of the roll and provide measuring guidance. The roll is 20” in width and roughly 264” in length. In very good condition overall – colors are bright and vivid, and the end of the roll is quite tattered (I didn’t count this in the measurement) and the edges have some small tears, though not intruding into the design. Paper is fragile and needs to be handled carefully – this is not midweight fabric-based wallpaper but lithographed thin paper wallpaper. I've already sold three other antique Belgian Art Deco rolls. Brilliant and very rare example of Art Deco graphics. Single 10” by 20” panels are cut from original Deco rolls by other vendors and then framed and priced at $100 to $150.
