Description: This listing is for an INCREDIBLY RARE ORIGINAL 1960s New Orleans International Trade Mart matchbook cover. On August 16, 1963 Lee Harvey Oswald handed out his infamous Hands Off Cuba leaflets in front of the New Orleans International Trade Mart to local residents. The Trade Mart was founded in 1947 by New Orleans businessman Clay Shaw, who would later be the only person ever tried for the assassination of President John F. Kennedy. Theorists believe that Oswald and Shaw conspired with others to murder JFK. On November 22, 1963 President Kennedy was assassinated in downtown Dallas, Texas as his motorcade passed by the Texas School Book Depository building, from a 6th floor window, by Lee Harvey Oswald, an employee of the building. ORIGINAL ITEMS FROM THE NEW ORLEANS INTERNATIONAL TRADE MART ARE VERY RARELY SEEN AND HIGHLY SOUGHT AFTER BY JFK ASSASSINATION COLLECTORS! I HAVE ATTACHED TO THE LISTING, FOR REFERENCE ONLY, IMAGES OF OSWALD HANDING OUT THE FAIR PLAY FOR CUBA LEAFLETS IN FRONT OF THE NEW ORLEANS INTERNATIONAL TRADE MART AS WELL AS AN IMAGE OF ONE OF THE LEAFLETS HE WAS HANDING OUT. Professional and secure USPS shipping is FREE! Thanks for checking out my listing!
