Description: You are bidding on an exceptional piece of Comic Strip history, from the Disney animator John Basmajian's Estate. He worked for the Disney studios during the 1930's-40's. He was significant in saving the history of Disney Studios artwork. Please check out his website for more of his history and story- www.john-basmajian.com. Up for auction is a prototype comic character that he created in the 1930's named Billy. The piece tells a story of Billy and his adventures with a would-be burglar in his home. The comic strip was not produced. The uneven ink lines can be seen in the photos, with dried moisture marks on the back of the paper from the use of the ink. This is a production one of a kind piece of art- not a reproduction. The piece of art is in good condition and shows some age discoloration as my photos show. There is missing a small corner of the paper, which will not show after it is framed or mounted. The art is measurements approx. 20” x 14". NO BUY IT NOW OFFERS WILL BE ACCEPTED OR ENTERTAINNED. Priority Mail will be $11.00 and will be very well packed and protected for a safe delivery. Insurance will be mandatory- please wait for an invoice. More items from Basmajian estate will be available to bid on in the coming months.
