The octanometer has a housing consisting of a compartment with an electrical part and a transitional compartment with sealing rings, to which a measuring tube with a sensitive element is fixed. The transition chamber and the measuring tube form a channel in which gasoline is located or flows. The compartment with the electronic part contains a digital display and batteries. The fuel check is carried out when gasoline hits the sensitive element in the tube (sensor), the parameters of the element change, the microprocessor compares them with the data stored in the memory, and measurement figures corresponding to the octane number of gasoline appear on the digital display. The tester device is turned on by pressing it once until it locks on the “ON / OFF” button.
