Description: Not The Nine O'Clock News The cast of a popular BBC TV sketch show which ran from 1979 to 1982. Created by producer John Lloyd in collaboration with Sean Hardie, the series was a fast-paced, frequently satirical show which gave many British comedy writers their first big break. The head writer was Richard Curtis, and diverse musical parodies were provided mostly by Howard Goodall. The troupe's first two LPs both reached the UK top ten, something even Monty Python never managed. Excellent - The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging may have slight wear and / or creasing. Very Good - The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable. Good - The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, may have some distortion and mild scratches.
