Paints And Details: Baby Edith has been painted with Genesis Heat set paints, properly cured and sealed. She has veining, mottling, shading, under blue tones, drawn eyebrows, milk dots on the nose and capillaries, textured baby rash on forehead and drawn peach fuzz. Edith has a newborn skin complexion. Hair and more detailsShe has micro rooted two tone light brown mohair, very soft and easy to maintain. It has been rooted directionally; to keep the hairstyle, when brushing it, just follow the pattern. Her eyelashes are rooted too. Edit's lips and nails have been glossed for more realism. She has been weighted with glass beads and poly fiber for cuddliness and realism. She weighs 4.5 lbs. approximately. This baby is very realistic and fun to hold. She has a magnet inside to hold her magnetic pacifier. Magnets are not recommended for young children, people with a pace maker, or around electronic equipment. This doll has been assembled with zip ties to secure the limbs in place. The fact that you see the end of the zip tie does not mean it is a defect. this is the way that every doll is assembled. My dolls are hand made, hand painted and rooted. Therefore, they are not perfect or flawless. You might find flaws, or none at all; that is normal on handmade items. (look at the all 24 photos provided). However, I do my best to create a doll with details that you see on Prototype dolls, but at more affordable prices. Care instructions: This is not a toy, you are receiving a delicate collectable, art piece that takes many days, weeks or even months to complete. Therefore you need to handle with extreme care and handle it just like a real baby. Keep away from children to preserve and prevent accidents (this doll has magnets). Wash your hands before handling your doll, to make sure they are free of oil, lotion, dirt, etc. Do not apply any chemicals to any part of the doll, such as lotion, perfume, oils, etc. This could cause the paints to rub off. Be careful with sharp edges, even long nails and buttons and zippers that can scratch the paints. Do not wet the doll . the torso is made of fabric, and it has poly fiber inside (like a pillow). Do not expose to direct sunlight for long periods of time; the heat may affect the paints or sealer. Do not pull by the limbs, instead hold it as if it was a real baby supporting the head with one hand and the body with the other hand. Do not brush the hair if it is not needed and when you need to, use a clean/new toothbrush to style it better, remember it is a doll after all and the hair won't grow back. To change clothes place a satin like fabric under the head, or even a plastic bag will do, so the hair doesn't break while moving the body. Do not leave the disposable diaper for long periods of time, as the chemicals may affect the paints. Instead I would recommend no diaper or a cloth (reusable) diaper. I suggest not to put dark color clothing, as they may discolor and stain your doll. And if you still want to use dark color clothes, make sure you wash them first to get rid of excess dye and put an under shirt on your doll. To clean the dust that accumulates in the eyes, creases and face: I suggest to buy a make up brush, designated only for your dolls, and use it dry to clean the dust.
