Description: Description Unrivaled Hybrid Drive Pedal Sunset reproduces many of the best classic overdrive circuit topologies, and has succeeded in instantly recalling a huge range of tones that players have loved. We have combined the huge range of overdrives covered by these 6 types into two channels, A and B. Supports MIDI control Since firmware 1.2, MIDI control is now possible using the EXP jack. Recall/load 300 presets, and save and recall all control and switch positions as presets. ●6 x drive circuit topologies, each with a different custom voicing. ●The drive circuits can be stacked in series to create complex, responsive distortion tones. ●The analog class A JFET input stage maintains maximum headroom and achieves up to 20dB of signal gain. ●The Drive & Tone control controls the sound according to each circuit topology. ●You can choose between series, reverse series, and parallel channel connection methods. ● Bright switch allows you to adjust the tone depending on the amplifier you connect to. ● Threshold-adjustable noise reduction function ● Full MIDI support Digital or analog? We chose both. The analog input stage of the SUNSET uses a discrete analog gain circuit with class-A JFETs designed for ultra-low noise, providing 20dB of high and pure analog gain. The signal level is digitally controlled at this stage to send a clean signal to the DSP gain stage that follows this section. This analog section reproduces the touch, nuances, and response to guitar volume as if it were directly connected to a tube amplifier. The powerful SHARK DSP creates complex harmonics that are the elements of distortion while following the dynamics. This hybrid processing is performed at any DRIVE position, allowing you to play the best sound regardless of the degree of distortion. Two pedals at once. Sunset is a set of two customized overdrive pedals. You can freely select each one, route the two, and control the tone when stacked. Each of the six drive circuits gives you a different feeling, and it's all packaged in one unit. From simple gain to super heavy distortion, or anything in between, you can drive your amp freely with the Sunset. Eternal theme for guitarists We guitar players are forever searching for the ultimate OD pedal and the perfect tone. After careful listening, the Strymon development team designed custom voicings so that each channel of the Sunset can be dialed in with a single Tone control. The control range is custom tuned to work most effectively with each circuit type. It is also designed to take into account stacking of the two channels, optimizing the combination and giving the best sound. You can instantly access a huge range of classic OD tones. Stacking Players used to play with a thick, glossy sound by playing tube amps at high volume to get an overdrive sound, but now, by "stacking" by combining OD pedals, it is possible to control the drive even more freely. A single good-sounding OD pedal can get a drive sound, but by connecting a second OD pedal, you can add a new thickness. Stacking OD pedals can produce very good effects depending on the combination. With Sunset, you can choose from six types of drive circuits and route channels A → B, B → A, and A + B (parallel). Sunset makes it easy to find a good combination. This routing can also be recalled with FAV. Supports MIDI control MIDI control is now possible from firmware 1.2 onwards. 300 presets can be recalled/loaded, and all control and switch positions can be saved and recalled as presets. MIDI connections use the EXP jack, so you'll need a MIDI controller with a 1/4" jack output or a Strymon MIDI EXP cable. Check out strymon.net/support/sunset for information on required accessories.
